FUSION--Registering for tryouts and team

Registering for Fusion is a two step process.

  • First, anyone interested in being on a Fusion team needs to sign up for Tryouts in our registration system, even if tryouts have passed.
  • When invited to a team, the official invite will come from the same registration system. A player might be invited by email, phone, or in person, but they aren't on the team until they are invited and finish the online registration.

Signing up for tryouts:

  1. Log in to your account, or create one if you don't already have one.
  2. From the main account page, click on ( x Programs Available! ) to the right of player's name.
  3. Find Fusion Tryouts, click on Select, and then click on Continue.
    1. If you see a blue bar under your players name that says Fusion Tryouts > Division > View/Print Form, you are already signed up.
  4. Answer the Program Information questions, and click Continue.
  5. Click to eSign the form.
  6. Finish the next few steps and you are finished.

Joining the team:

If your child is invited, you will get an invite from the registration system, congratulationg you on making the team. If you get this email, you must still complete the registration process.

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Click on 'Tryout Acceptance' by the player's name, and accept (or decline).
  3. Continue through to checkout and submit payment.

Tryout info and tips

2020 Fusion Open Tryouts

Players will need to be registered for tryouts prior to participating. If they are not registered when they show up, you will have to register them onsite.  Registration is done on our website. There is no fee to try out.  Unregistered players will not be allowed to participate in the tryout. No exceptions.

Tryouts will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8th; Monday, Feb. 10th; and Tuesday, Feb. 11th.  Times and locations for each age group are still being determined.  Check your email (and spam folder, just in case) for updates in the next few weeks.  The website will also be updated.

Players must attend a tryout in order to be considered for a team. Only one tryout is required, but it is strongly encouraged for them to attend more than one tryout, as available.  See detailed tryout information below.

What to know about tryouts:

  • Your child must wear shin guards and must bring a soccer ball to the tryout.  He or she should also bring something to drink.
  • Please plan to arrive at least 10 to 15 minutes prior to the start of your child's session.  This will allow adequate time for parking, locating the check-in area, getting your player checked in for the tryout, and warming up.
  • All players are required to register for the Fusion program in advance of attending the tryout.  (This is done through this website, under your Account.)

Other tryout information worth knowing:
  • Your child should only attend the tryout for their proper age group, unless instructed otherwise.
  • It is a requirement that your child must attend at least one tryout to be considered for any team.  There are very few exceptions to this attendance requirement.  It is strongly encouraged that prospective players plan to attend both sessions, wherever possible.
  • There will be a check-in table at the tryouts, staffed with board members. Please feel free to come with any questions you may have.  We will do our best to find an answer for you.
  • If you have any additional questions, you may email the Advanced Play Team and ask them.  Please include your child's gender and year of birth when doing so to facilitate a faster answer to your question.

Following the second Open Tryout, individual coaches may invite you for a "callback" opportunity where they may wish to see more of your player's skills.

If a player signs up for both Fusion and Rec (our regular recreational program), and is invited to the Fusion team, we will refund their fees for Rec.

ID Photo

We need photos for the Fusion players for ID cards. Please make sure the photo is an acceptable ID style photo. There is a sample photo below, to give you an idea of how the photo should look.

- We don't want photos with the player in a group of people, or with anyone else.
- We don't want full body photos that need lots of cropping.
- We don't want super close-ups.

Parents (or coaches) need to email their photo. The email needs to have player's first name and last name, year of birth, and gender. It also needs to have a photo attached. For the photo, please name the file with the first name, last name, and year born, before sending to me.

Photo file name should be first name, last name, year of birth. For example, johnsmith2010.jpg, or markli2011.png

* Make sure to leave enough space above and below head. Make sure head is centered.
