Most people understand that soccer of course needs coaches and referees. These are all volunteers. But there are many dozens of volunteers needed to help manage the programs, teams, fields, volunteers, etc.
You may have a specific role in mind that you want to help with, or you might have been asked to help with a certain task, or you might be willing to help but are not sure what is right for you. We want to give you some ideas so we can make sure you are getting into the right role or roles for you.
- Some roles are focused on a team, such as Coach or Team Parent, others might be focused on the success of the division and program, such as Referees and Division Coordinators, and others are more about the operation of the league, such as CVPA or Field Painter.
- Some roles are in-person roles, possibly with the players or for planning. Some other roles can be done at your convenience, via email or phone, such as Division Coordinator, Treasurer, Social Media Manager.
- Most volunteers will need some simple training to do their role. Training should not have to be repeated if it's already been taken, in previous seasons or for different roles. AYSO provides any training needed.
- No volunteer role should cost anything. You should not need to pay for any equipment, supplies, gear, courses, or anything else.

To summarize all of that, there are lots of different levels and types of volunteers. Check our Volunteer Roles page for details which lists descriptions, time commitments, level of involvement, and more. Or reach out to any of our board members to see where you might find a good fit. [page]
Once you have your role[s] picked out, time to register.
