AYSO Irvine Region 213 - Serving Irvine for 40 years

Calendar

AYSO's soccer year begins with Fall, then Winter, Spring, and finishes with Summer. Different regions throughout the country offer different programs each season. Below is a general outline for Region 213, North Irvine.

Fall
Season usually begins the weekend after Labor Day, early September.
We have a Silent Saturday that usually is the first weekend in October.
Our season usually finishes second or third weekend in November.

Rec program offered for 4u (3 year olds) up to 14u, and often 16u and 19u as well. This is our most popular program.
Fusion (Extra) is offered for 9u to 16u. This is our tryout-based competitive program.
VIP is offered at any age. This is our special needs program, a big part of the 'Everyone Plays' philosophy.
Academy is offered for 8u and older. This is a separate once-a-week skills training, not a team.

Winter
Season usually begins the first weekend of the year, January.
The season is just one month, finishing up at the end of January.

All Stars is a tryout / invite program for (8u), 10u, 12u, 14u players from Fall Rec.

Spring
Season usually begins the first or second weekend in March.
We have a Silent Saturday that usually is the first weekend in April.
Our season usually finishes second weekend in May.

Rec program offered for 4u (3 year olds) up to 14u, and often 16u and 19u as well. This is our most popular program.
Fusion (Extra) / Select is offered for 9u to 16u. This is an extension of our tryout-based competitive program.
VIP is occasionally offered.
Academy is offered for 8u and older. This is a separate once-a-week skills training, not a team.

Summer
We don't have season programs in Summer. This is a chance for children to try other things, relax, play. Take a break to recover from soccer. This is also a chance for the city fields to recover from soccer, which is why Irvine has awesome fields.

Many families will take vacations, go to the beach or join Irvine Swim League, and we encourage all of that. For the families that want a bit of soccer over the summer to stay fresh or just want some skills training, there are several 1-week summer camps available.
